Christmas Village in Hope Town🇧🇸

The Christmas Village in Hope Town has taken place for the past three years.  It was the vision of a local, Monica Cook, who gathers every able body to transform a dusty ballpark into a magical winter wonderland for three nights.  There are tents to be risen, lights to be strung and many booths and games to be set up – it takes a village (and  more).  The highlight is a “skating rink” (picture cutting board plastic) where local kids get to try out their skills with puffs of man made snow in the air.  There’s music and local food each night along with lots of Christmas “spirits”.  The last night we caroled through the settlement (Dan actually slipped away for a beer).  I love to sing the the songs with my loud, flat voice😁  Harbor Rats and land lubbers all come together and enjoy the Christmas Village ❤️
